My A-4 Skyhawk begin to good performance, so I think another EDF plane with GWS EDF40.
F9F kits are made by Aeronaut and RBC, but these are Midi-Fan class, too big for me. Single jet planes in 50's to 60's are bery beautiful for me, and I like F-16 too.
So I disided to make micro F9F.
I drawed plan with 1/20 scale, Intake and exthaust are too small , to modified to fit EDF40.
Works
Main flames are 1mm plywood and 1.5mm balsa closs glain double.
I use Ink-Jet paper ( for Paper claft) to intake guide.
Planked with 1mm*10mm balsa stlip with CA glue.
Sandling and sanding, Be careful.
EDF mounted, lokks like RBC's F9F. Exthaust guide duct is OHP sheet.
EDF40 outer is inforsed with carbon sheet. Very important point.
Mayden flight
I use launch bed with bungee. Set tention in 1kg.
Elevator and airlon trims are near to center. Plan settings are good.
Flight speed is not so fast (Than my A-4) but bery stable, tight turn was no problem and tricky habit. Very controllable! Baerutiful siluette.
At slow speed flight, stall caracter was controllable, I feel 50's NAVY carryer ariplane.
CG point is 25% from L/E.
Stabilizer bolume is original, not change to large, piching stability was good.
Very happy!!

I changed batterry connector from JST-BEC to 2mm bananna pin plug. Some of loss was decreased, so F9F get more power, enougf for loop and sprit-s and inverted. Air speed increased, like 4C52 crass scale GPplane.
